Installation Guide

This guide explains the typical workflow for installing a vehicle-specific ZENHAX infotainment system. Exact trim removal, wiring, and configuration steps vary by vehicle. Review the product instructions and confirm compatibility before installation.

Before you begin

  • Confirm the vehicle make, model, year, trim, and factory audio configuration.
  • Check that the display, fascia, harnesses, CAN bus module, antennas, and accessories are present.
  • Save factory settings and radio codes when applicable.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal before working on vehicle wiring.
  • Use plastic trim tools and protect the dashboard surfaces.
  • Choose a qualified automotive electronics installer if you are not experienced with vehicle wiring.

Typical installation workflow

  1. Document the factory setup. Photograph the dashboard, connectors, and cable routing before removal.
  2. Remove the factory trim and radio. Follow vehicle-specific service information and avoid forcing clips or panels.
  3. Connect the supplied harnesses. Match keyed connectors only. Do not cut factory wiring unless the product instructions specifically require it.
  4. Connect integration modules. Install the CAN bus module, antenna adapters, camera inputs, USB leads, microphone, and other accessories included for your configuration.
  5. Test before reassembly. Reconnect the battery and check power, sound, steering-wheel controls, climate display, factory camera, Bluetooth, CarPlay or Android Auto, and sleep/wake behavior.
  6. Secure and reassemble. Route cables away from moving or hot parts, mount the unit without pinching wires, and reinstall the trim.

If something does not work

  • Do not repeatedly reconnect plugs while the unit is powered.
  • Check that every connector is fully seated and that the correct CAN bus profile is selected.
  • Photograph the wiring and record a short video of the issue before changing settings.
  • Keep the original packaging and accessories until installation is complete.
